China's expansionism from Doklam to Sakat will
China has not left its actions even after tasting a crushing defeat at the hands of India in Doklam in Doklam. The Indian Army had prevented the Chinese PLA from building a road in front of Torsa drain in Doklam. There has been a dispute between China and Bhutan over the 477 km long border since the 1950s. There is the most controversy over the two areas here, one of them is Doklam area with an area of 269 square kilometers. The second area is from Zakarlung and Pasmalung Valley of 495 square kilometers north of Bhutan.
In the last eight years, Dragon has settled more than 20 villages by infiltrating the land of Bhutan. In Doklam itself, China has created 8 new villages. Apart from this, China has also been raising controversy over the northern areas of Bhutan, Zakarlung and Pasmalung Valley. In October 2021, China and Bhutan signed a three-step roadmap agreement. So far, 25 rounds of border talks have been held between the two countries.
Trying to intimidate Bhutan Army too
China recently launched a new controversy. It is a wild life century in the East of Bhutan near Tawang border of Arunachal Pradesh. According to sources, during the Global Environment meeting in 2020, China also staked its claim on this. However, Bhutan rejected it outright. Sankatg will not seem directly to China's border with the century, yet it claims it. China is justifying this area.
The People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China is now trying to stop the Royal Bhutan Army (RBA) from patrolling in its land. Bhutan soldiers were stopped on the banks of the Amo-Chho River near Doklam. The matter increased so much that in February, a flag meeting between the two armies had to be held.
China is running tricks through shepherds
In Ladakh, China has already run to grab land on the pretext of shepherds. Now the same is happening in Bhutan. According to the intelligence report, the shepherds of China on the Tibet-Bhutan border tried to capture the pastures. When the Bhutan Army stopped them, China objected and pressured Tibetan shepherds to be called Chinese shepherds.
India-Bhutan friendship will not affect
Relationships between India and Bhutan are based on friendship, cooperation and trust. Most of the strategic training in Bhutan takes place in military institutions in India. India is also a partner in Bhutan's trade and development. On Monday, the fourth development cooperation has been held between the two countries on Monday itself.
This visit of General Upendra Dwivedi is not just diplomatic but also a strategic message that India is standing in every challenge with its neighbor Bhutan and will not allow Doklam -like act to happen again. India is closely eyeing the conspiracies of the dragon and Bhutan is not ready to retreat.
