The US Embassy in India wrote in a tweet that, ‘Due to the high demand for employment based visas, the US Mission to India has recently given more than 1 lakh appointments to H&L Visa employees and their families. ‘ Further, the US Embassy has written that, ‘Thousands of applicants have already booked appointments, we have halved the appointment and interview waver for the first time due to Mission India. This large amount of appointments accepted shows our commitment to H&L employees.’
The embassy has given this information in three tweets one after the other. In the third tweet, the Embassy wrote, ‘In fact, in the first nine months of 2022, the US Mission to India has already issued more than 160,000 H&L visas. We will continue to prioritize H&L employees as resources permit.
Jaishankar raised the issue in Washington last month
