They discussed the urgency of ongoing diplomatic and political efforts to reduce violence (Afghanistan Taliban Crisis). The Secretary of State emphasized the United States’ commitment to a strong diplomatic and security relationship with the Government of Afghanistan and our continued support for the people of Afghanistan.
The matter happened after the capture of Mazar-e-Sharif
These talks between the two leaders took place after the capture of Mazar-e-Sharif, the fourth largest city of Afghanistan.
