India Sculptures: A museum in America is about to return 15 ancient sculptures to India. These idols were illegally sold by Subhash Kapoor to museums, which are said to be before 11th century CE.

Indian Sculptures: America’s famous Metropolitan Museum of Art is about to return 15 special sculptures to India. It is said that these idols were taken out of the country illegally. They were sold by the museum administration to the infamous dealer Subhash Kapoor. In a statement on Thursday, it has been told by the museum that they will return those idols to the Government of India. These sculptures were smuggled and sold to the American Museum. The sculptures are said to be from the 1st century BCE to the 11th century CE.
There are sculptures made of terracotta, copper and stone which are part of Indian culture. Subhash Kapoor is currently in jail and he sold all the idols to the American Museum at the same time. The museum administration is reviewing the art sold by suspected dealers. It has been told on the official site of the museum that 5000 years old arts have also been kept here. Arts from Africa, America, Asia and Europe are kept in the museum. A section of Asia has also been made on the site of the museum, where many arts of India have been displayed.

Criminal case against Subhash Kapoor
It has been said in the statement that the museum gives more importance to its long-standing values. Only legally acquired arts are kept here. The museum also contacted Homeland Security in 2015 regarding the works of Subhash Kapoor. Now since the adoration cases are going on against Subhash Kapool, the museum is also taking action. In a statement from the museum, it has been said that it is happy to settle the matter with the Government of India.
There are also many Greek and Roman arts in the museum.
The case was pending with the Manhattan District Attorney. The Attorney’s Office ordered Artis to be returned to India. The museum agreed to this. Not only Indian arts were sold illegally to the museum, but some Turkish arts were also kept here. The museum recently removed the Greek and some Roman galleries in collaboration with the criminal investigation at the attorney’s office at the Turkish sites Bubon and Perg.
