The opening ceremony of Tokyo Olympics-2020 was special and different in many ways and there were some moments on which everyone’s eyes stopped.

After a year’s postponement due to COVID and under the shadow of this disease, the Tokyo Olympics-2020 got its official start on Friday. The Games officially started with the announcement of Emperor Naruhito of Japan. Olympic rings made of wood were presented during the ceremony.  The wood from which these rings were made was a special feature, Japan hosted the Olympic Games for the first time in 1964 and then the players sowed the seeds of trees. The flag bearer of Tonga caught everyone's attention with his outfit at the opening ceremony.  When Tonga's team came for the parade, all eyes were fixed on the dress of its player Peeta Tafutofua.  He was wearing a traditional dress.  He was tied something below the waist and was wearing a mask, apart from this there was nothing on his body.  He is a Twaekwondo player from Tonga. India marched past at number 21 in this opening ceremony.  Indian men's hockey team captain Manpreet Singh and London Olympics-2012 bronze medalist Mary Kom held the Indian flag.  A total of 19 players and six officials from India took part in the parade.  (PTI Photo)

America has reached Tokyo with 613 players and its massive presence was also seen in the parade of the Opening Ceremony.
