This place was given on lease to the British
It has been told in several reports that the Maharaja of Sirohi had leased Mount Abu to the British for the Rajputana headquarters. During the British rule, it used to be the favorite place of the British to escape the summer. For the British, this place was no less than a paradise. He used to do many government and private programs here. It is a great tourist spot to visit.

Dilwara Temple, Nakki Lake, Sunset Point etc.
Dilwara Temple, located at a distance of about 3 km from Mount Abu, attracts the attention of tourists. It was built between 11th and 13th century by Vastupala and Tejpal. This temple is famous for its marble design and architecture.
The beautiful Nakki Lake here also attracts a lot of tourists, which is surrounded by hills from all sides. Boating in the lake and horse riding around the lake can be enjoyed. This is a man-made lake.
Toad Rock on the top of the hill and Maharaja Jaipur Palace and Raghunath Temple are also located nearby. Apart from these, Achalgarh Fort, Sunset Point etc. can also be enjoyed.
How to reach Mount Abu?
By Air The nearest airport is Udaipur, from where a bus or taxi can be taken to Mount Abu, located 185 km away. Talking about the railways, the nearest railway station is Abu Road, from where Mount Abu is 28 km away. It is well connected by road. If you are coming via Delhi, then you will get a direct bus from Kashmere Gate bus stand. Buses of Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation provide their services from many cities.
