Gravton claims that completely local components have been used to make the Quanta electric bike. This means that the bike is completely Made in India. Initially the Quanta will be available only in Hyderabad, but the company may launch it in many other cities of the country in the near future.
Talking about the features of the Gravton Quanta, it includes a 3KW BLDC motor, which helps the bike to achieve a top speed of 70 kmph (Kmph). This motor is capable of generating a maximum torque of 170Nm. The battery in it can be removed and replaced. The battery capacity is 3 kWh and is Li-Ion type. The company claims that in a single charge, this battery can give the electric bike a riding range of up to 150 km. This means that if you have both the full batteries, you can run this bike for around 320 kms without charging. It gets SES (Swap Eco System) which helps the rider to know about the nearest battery station to Gravton, where to order extra batteries and the batteries can be easily delivered and swapped at any location.
According to the information given on Gravton’s website, the bike’s battery can be fully charged in 90 minutes through the fast charging feature. Whereas with the regular power socket, it will take 3 hours for the battery to be fully charged. The company also claims that the Quanta electric bike can run 800 kms at a cost of Rs 80, or you can also call it Rs 10 per 100 kms.
