Mumbai: The thrill that was expected in the Women’s Premier League (WPL), has been seen in the two matches played so far. In the first match on Saturday, Mumbai Indians posted a score of 207 runs in the very first match of the league. The second match is being played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals on Sunday. This match is being played at Brabourne Stadium and the storm created by Delhi in this match is more than Mumbai and with this a coincidence happened with RCB.
Batting first in the second match of WPl, Delhi scored a mammoth score of 223 runs losing two wickets in 20 overs. For that, Shefali Verma scored 84 and Meg Lanning scored 72 runs and played a big role in helping her team reach this score.

IPL and WPL start the same
RCB bowlers were thrashed fiercely in this match and the condition of this team was similar to what happened in IPL 15 years ago. That is, the way RCB started IPL, it has started WPl in the same way. In the first match of IPL in the year 2008, Bangalore faced Kolkata Knight Riders. In this match, Brendon McCullum scored a stormy half-century and hit the Bangalore bowlers a lot. In that match, Bangalore had taken 222 runs from Kolkata in 20 overs and lost only three wickets.
This is the condition of this team in WPL as well. Delhi has scored 223 runs against this team losing two wickets. That is, the women’s team made one run more in their first match than the men’s team.

Score could have been more
The score made by Delhi could have been more but Heather Knight put a break on Delhi’s storm by dismissing first Lanning and then Shefali in a single over. Had either of these two batsmen played the full 20 overs, Delhi’s score could have crossed 230-240. Shefali faced 45 balls in this match and hit 10 fours and four sixes. Apart from him, Lanning faced 43 balls and hit 14 fours.
