India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah suffered a stress fracture due to which he is out of the team for the last six months. So far no concrete news has been revealed about his return.

With every series, fans hope that now Bumrah will return but something else happens. So much suspense is being created on Bumrah’s injury that team captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid are also unaware of him. BCCI is not giving any update on Bumrah’s injury.
Jasprit Bumrah last landed on the field on 25 September 2022. After this T20 match against Australia, there were reports that Bumrah has got a stress fracture and will not play in the next series. He was expected to return in India’s domestic season this year but it did not happen. Since then, many things have come to the fore regarding this, but officially the BCCI did not say anything.

Nobody knows about Bumrah
BCCI is not releasing any update related to Bumrah’s rehab till his return. Efforts are being made to keep the injury status of this fast bowler a secret. Even in BCCI, not many people are aware of this. Only VVS Laxman, the chief of the National Cricket Academy and physio are allowed to talk to Bumrah. The selection committee has also been told clearly that they will be given an update on Bumrah’s injury later.
Bumrah’s return will take time
In the beginning of this month, there was news that Bumrah’s operation, troubled by stress fracture, was successful but still it will take time for his return. Bumrah will not play in the final of the World Test Championship to be held in June. Also, there is little hope of him playing in the Asia Cup. Only the BCCI will tell when these star bowlers of Team India will return to action. The loss of Bumrah’s absence is going to be a loss to Team India as well as Mumbai Indians who will play without their star in this IPL.
