Wakefield have recruited from inside in selling Mark Applegarth as their new head coach.
Applegarth began his enjoying profession with Wakefield and has been their head of youth for the final 5 years, combining the position with that of first-team assistant and reserve coach this season.

“We are looking forward to working with Mark as we complete our coaching team and playing squad for the coming season.”
Applegarth first joined Wakefield as a junior in 2000 earlier than signing skilled phrases in 2004, occurring to make 47 appearances for his hometown membership. He left for York City Knights in 2008.
He had spells in Australia with Central Queensland Comets and again within the UK with Batley Bulldogs earlier than returning to York, ending his enjoying profession as an assistant coach.
