22 jawans martyred, 30 injured in naxalite attack
Deputy Inspector General of Police OP Pal of Chhattisgarh’s anti-Naxal operation said that at around 12 noon on Saturday afternoon, there was an encounter with the Naxalites of security forces near Jonaguda village on the border of Bijapur-Sukma district. This encounter lasted for more than 3 hours. According to information received till Sunday, 22 CRPF personnel were martyred in the encounter. While 30 are injured.
