There have been 15 seasons of the Indian Premier League so far. Many such records have been made during these seasons, which are almost impossible for other players to break.

In the year 2016 itself, Virat Kohli made another impossible looking record. Virat Kohli, along with his partner and closest friend, South African batsman AB de Villiers, formed the biggest partnership in terms of runs. The pair shared a 229-run partnership for the second wicket against the Gujarat Lions on 14 May 2016 at their home ground, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. This was the biggest partnership of IPL in terms of runs in IPL. Kohli scored 109 runs and de Villiers scored 129 runs. (PTI)
Chris Gayle of West Indies, called Universal Ball, had set many records in IPL. However, in the year 2013, he played such an innings that it became impossible for him to repeat himself. In 2013, Gayle scored an unbeaten 175 against Pune Warriors while playing for RCB. Gayle scored 175 runs in 66 balls with the help of 17 sixes. Virat Kohli is the highest run scorer in a season of IPL. In the year 2016, he scored a total of 973 runs while playing 16 matches for RCB. Till now no player has been able to cross 900 runs in a single season. He has scored four centuries and seven half-centuries this season. (PTI)

Chris Gayle and Ravindra Jadeja are the only two players in IPL who scored 37 runs in an over. Gayle scored 37 runs in an over against Kochi Tuskers while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore. In Prashant Parameswaran’s over, Gayle hit 4 sixes and 3 fours, including a no ball. Jadeja scored 37 runs in IPL 2021 in Harshal Patel’s over of RCB. He hit five sixes and a four in this over.
