After losing two consecutive T20 World Cups Indian Cricket Team His eyes are now on the World Cup to be held in his home. To end the drought of the title this time, Team India is already preparing to exert its full force, as well as the Board of Control for Cricket in India does not want to leave any stone unturned this time. This is the reason that recently BCCI announced that it has prepared a short list of 20 players for the World Cup, who will be played in every series till the World Cup. It is also important to know which players can get a place in this list.
Even though BCCI has not yet revealed the names of these 20 players, but everyone is guessing who those players will be. Most of the players can be named naturally. If we talk about bowlers in this, then these names can also be understood. However, veterans like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ravichandran Ashwin find it difficult to get a place this time. Still there are some possible names which can be discussed.
Many contenders for the pace department
Jasprit Bumrah: The first name on which no one can doubt. Jasprit Bumrah’s ability makes him special in many ways, the most important of which is to make an impact on the match even without the help of the pitch. With his tight bowling, he can not only take wickets in any part of the match, but also put a check on the runs. It is most important for Team India that Bumrah remains fit.
Mohammed Shami:Along with Bumrah, the place of experienced pacer Shami is important in Team India, but it is a bit difficult to say whether his place is completely confirmed or not. Even though he is India’s number one choice in Tests, it is not so in the white ball. The results were not very good for him in T20 but the situation is slightly different in ODIs. Shami has proved to be a better bowler in this format. He was one of India’s most successful bowlers in the 2015 and 2019 World Cups. In such a situation, this experience can definitely come in handy.
Mohd Siraj/Arshdeep Singh:Siraj proved to be the best bowler for India in ODIs last year. Like Shami, Siraj has also become an important part of India in Tests, but the place in ODIs is not confirmed. However, the way he has improved himself with the white ball in the last few months, his place in the 20 players looks confirmed. Apart from Siraj, Arshdeep Singh is also seen in this race. He has confirmed his place in T20. Arshdeep has not played much in ODIs, but as a left-arm bowler, trust can be shown on him as he is the only better option at the moment.
Famous Krishna/Umran Malik: Two bowlers who can act as X-factor for India. On one side is the famous Krishna, who has the ability to get the bounce along with the pace. However, in the last few months, a back injury did not allow his place in Team India to be regular. But once again they can get a chance. On the other hand, the Indian team would definitely like to try Umran Malik, the newest sensation in Indian bowling. The speed that Umran has, he does not have any Indian pacer at the moment and it is enough to put the batsmen in trouble. In such a situation, they can also be tried.
Who will be the spinners?
Kuldeep Yadav: Whenever this left-arm spinner has got opportunities in recent times, he has shown a good game. The hard work put in by Kuldeep to change the pace of his balls has seen better results in recent times and due to this, he is once again seen gaining his hold in the spin department of the team and in such a situation, he has got a place in Team India. Will keep it in my scheme.
Yuzvendra Chahal/Ravi Bishnoi:There is a real competition in Team India for the role of leg spinner. Yuzvendra Chahal has experience and has won for India many times over the years by performing brilliantly. Although, in recent times, his form has wavered a bit, but even after this, the trust in him remains intact for the time being. On the other hand, if someone gives competition to Chahal, then it is the young leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi. This leg-spinner has been causing trouble for the batsmen mainly because of his googly. This has been seen a lot in T20 format. Also, the speed of his balls is slightly higher than that of Chahal, which does not give a chance to the batsmen. In such a situation, they are also more likely to get a chance.
