The match between Kalutara Town Club and Galle Cricket Club in the ongoing Major Club T20 tournament in Sri Lanka was a tie. The amazing thing is that both the teams could score only 30-30 runs. For the first time in the history of T20 cricket, a match has been tied on such a low score.

Due to rain, this match was of 6-6 overs and both the teams could score only 30-30 runs. Let us tell you that only 2 out of 12 overs were such in which no wicket fell. Wickets fell in every other over. The left arm bowlers showed amazing performance in the match. Only left arm bowlers took 15 wickets. Apart from this, there were also 4 run outs in the match. Kalutara Town Club’s spinner Inshaka Siriwardana took 5 wickets for just 5 runs in 2 overs. While Kawsitha Kodithuwakku of Galle Club was the highest run-scorer in the match. 12 runs came off his bat.

After the T20 match is tied, the winner is decided by the super over but in this tournament there is no rule of super over in the league stage. Therefore points were distributed in both Kalutara Town Club and Galle Cricket Club. Galle’s team is at the third place in the points table, while Kalutara team is at the last place in the points table.
