Experienced all-rounder Malik, who has been part of the Pakistani team for the last two decades, has been included in the team. Malik played his last T20 match for Pakistan in September 2020, but after that his card was cleared. Malik has batted well in domestic tournaments in recent times.

Sohaib Maqsood is a 34-year-old aggressive batsman, who usually bats in the top order. He led the Southern Punjab team in the National Cup before getting injured and scored half-centuries in two consecutive matches. Maqsood made a comeback in the Pakistani team this year after almost 5 years and played some flamboyant innings. He has scored 273 runs in 26 T20 matches at a strike rate of 116. On the other hand, the overall T20 record is much better, where he has scored 3565 runs in 148 matches at a strike rate of 134.
