The franchise of Delhi Capitals in IPL has not been able to win the title till date. The Capitals franchise, which played one final and lost in that too, has now faced similar disappointment in South Africa as well. New started in South Africa SA20 League Finals In Pretoria Capitals also had to face defeat in the final like Delhi. In the final played in Johannesburg on Sunday 12 February, Sunrisers Eastern Cape won the title by defeating Pretoria by 4 wickets in 17 overs in a small-scoring thriller and became the first SA20 champion.
The final of the first season of the tournament was played late by a day due to water-logging in the ground. The postponement of the final due to rain dampened the fun, but the one day wait was not disappointing and an exciting match was witnessed. However, if we talk about the fans of Pretoria Capitals, it was not good for them as their explosive batsmen looked completely helpless in front of Sunrisers bowling and the team was bundled out for just 136 runs.

Van der Merwe tightens the reins
Sunrisers, bowling first, did not give Pretoria a chance to score big on the basis of the tremendous bowling of left-arm experienced spinner Roelof van der Merwe of the Netherlands. Explosive batsmen like Phil Salt, Riley Russo, Kusal Mendis failed in front of Sunrisers bowling. For that, Mendis scored the maximum 21 runs and apart from him, no other batsman could touch the figure of 20. Van der Merwe gave 31 runs in 4 overs and made 4 big victims.
Sunrisers also came in trouble
On the other hand, Sunrisers also did wonders like their IPL franchise Hyderabad and have already captured the final. However, after a good start, he also lost his sweat in the end as the Delhi bowlers converted the small score into a tough match with sharp bowling in the end overs. Sunrisers had lost the wicket of Temba Bavuma in the second over itself but here Adam Rossington, while batting furiously, took the team to the path of easy victory.
Rossington scored 57 runs in 30 balls, including 26 runs in a single over. He was dismissed on the first ball of the 11th over and at that time the score was 103 runs.
seemed to Sunrise Soon he will win from here, but on seeing it, he lost 3 more wickets in the next 5 overs while only 23 runs could be scored. Finally, in the first two balls of the 17th over, Marco Jansen won the title by hitting a four and a six.
