Jadhav went back due to injury in the 38th over. After this, India’s tail batsmen batted but victory was looking difficult as India lost the wicket of Ravindra Jadeja in the meantime. Jadeja was out on the second ball of the 48th over. Here India needed 11 runs off 17 balls. Here Jadhav again stepped on the field. But Bhuvneshwar Kumar was also out in the next over. Now India had full hopes only from Jadhav. India needed three runs in the last over and Kuldeep Yadav was with Jadhav. Kuldeep took a run on the first ball and then Jadhav on the next ball. Jadhav took one run on the sixth ball to give India victory. Had Jadhav not been there, perhaps India would have already lost the match. He played an innings of 23 runs in 27 balls.

Jadhav also showed amazing with the ball before the bat. Batting first, Bangladesh scored 222 runs in 48.3 overs. Opener Liton Das scored 121 runs for him. In his innings, he played 117 balls and hit two sixes in addition to 12 fours. Apart from these two, Mehedi Hasan Miraj scored 32 runs and Soumya Sarkar scored 33 runs. Apart from these three, no other Bangladesh batsman could cross the double figure. Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets for India. Jadhav took two wickets. He made Miraj and Mushfiqur Rahim (5) his prey. Before Jadhav, Rohit Sharma scored 48 runs. He hit three fours and three sixes in his 55-ball innings. Apart from him, Dinesh Karthik scored 37 runs. Whereas Mahendra Singh Dhoni played an innings of 36 runs. Ravindra Jadeja also contributed 23 runs. Bhuvneshwar scored 21 runs.
