Dream of playing cricket born in sonnet club
When Shweta was 8 years old, she was determined to play cricket. This stubbornness was born after seeing his elder sister Swati. Actually Shweta’s elder sister Swati used to go for practice in Sonnet Club. Shweta also used to go to the same Sonnet club with her father and from there she dreamed of becoming a cricketer. Please tell that this is the same Sonnet Club of Delhi which has given Team India a unique cricketer like Rishabh Pant. However, Shweta learned cricket not in this academy but in Vasant Kunj’s Cricket Academy. After this Shweta never looked back.
How the letter changed Shweta’s life
In May last year, Shweta had decided that she would not play the Under-19 World Cup. Actually his 12th exam was coming and he told this by writing a letter to NCA chief and former cricketer VVS Laxman. But Laxman was not happy after reading this. He immediately asked this cricketer to spend a few days in the camp. That letter of Laxman reached Shweta and this player thought of going to NCA. Shweta joined the camp on 3rd June, played 2 matches and scored a century in this. After this, he scored 2 more centuries in the next 6 matches. Her performance instilled a different confidence in Shweta and she got a place in the World Cup team. After this, the whole world saw Shweta Sehrawat’s fanfare.
