With this, he became the second and 9th batsman of the world only in India who scored a double century and century in a Test match.
Shubman Gill, who started his tour and his captaincy term with a century in the Leeds Test, also continued his wonderful form in Edgbaston. In the very first innings of this Test, Gill made history by scoring 269 runs. He became the Indian captain who played the biggest innings in Test cricket. He scored the 8th of Gill's career, third of this series and fifth Test century against England.
