Yun Gill shone in the Under-19 World Cup in 2018. India’s Under-19 team won the World Cup under the captaincy of Prithvi Shaw. Gill was one of the main batsmen of that team. From there, people saw Gill’s talent and the team management of Kolkata Knight Riders decided to add Gill to himself. Gill has been playing for Kolkata since 2018 and is a strong member of the team.

Gill has played three seasons in IPL so far and he is 61 runs away from completing his one thousand runs in this season i.e. 14th season of IPL. In three seasons, Gill has scored 939 runs in 41 matches and has scored seven fifties. In 2018, Gill had scored 203 runs in 13 matches and in 2019, 296 runs in 14 matches with his bat. He has been playing for Kolkata from the beginning till now and looking at the way the team has supported him, it seems that the team will not let him go soon.
2020 season was excellent
Gill’s last IPL was the most spectacular. After two years of continuous playing, Gill had a good experience of IPL. He was mature and a glimpse of this was seen in his batting last season as well. In the last season played in the United Arab Emirates, Gill scored 440 runs in 14 matches at an average of 33.84. Three times Gill crossed the fifty mark. On several important occasions, he played a useful innings for the team. He was the highest run-scorer for the team last season.
Live far away from the noise
IPL is known for its noise and glare. The halls of the league are everywhere and the players also find a place in constant noise. Gill, however, continues to do his work by staying away from all the noise. He keeps focusing on his game and keeps improving. This thing has been seen in his batting. He remains extremely focused on his game and keeps quiet and contributes to his team in peace.
