Mansi Joshi, who hails from Maharashtra, was interested in badminton since childhood. She used to play badminton at the district level only when she was in school. In the year 2011, Mansi was the victim of a road accident. She was going somewhere on her scooty and during this time she got hit by the truck. She was seriously injured in the accident. Doctors had to perform surgery for about 12 hours, one of his legs was amputated and his life was saved. During this she remained in the hospital for about 50 days. Mansi got along with India’s legendary badminton player and coach Pullela Gopichand in her new journey. Mansi moved to Hyderabad and started training at Gopichand’s academy. Within just a year, she managed to win the bronze in the nationals and from here the counting of her medals started. Mansi participates in SL3 category.
