He confirmed that Sandeep will be an important part of Vijay Hazare’s team in the current season.
Sandeep has got NOC from Punjab Cricket Association and now in Elite Group D, the players of Kerala will play the first match for their new team. Sandeep has cited personal reasons behind this change. However, media reports have something else to say. If reports are to be believed, Sandeep was not getting the opportunities that Sandeep wanted in the Punjab team. So he decided to change the team.
Sandeep wants to play in all three formats
While talking to Indian Express, Sandeep said that his office is in Bharat Petroleum Chandigarh. That’s why he has taken this decision. However, according to media reports, Sandeep did not expect to get a place in the Punjab team and that is why he took this decision. Chandigarh is a part of the elite group in Syed Mushtaq and Vijay Hazare, although in Ranji he is still included in the plate group.
Sandeep was not selected in the squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He was also not expected to play Ranji Trophy and Syed Mushtaq. The experienced bowler wanted to be a part of the team in all three formats. Sandeep was the hero of 2012 Under 19 World Cup
Sandeep Sharma played an important role in winning the Under-19 World Cup for Team India in the year 2012. After this, in his first three IPL seasons, he made a place in Team India by taking 39 wickets. However, he was out of the game for 18 months due to a shoulder injury. He has taken 112 wickets in 99 matches in IPL. During this his economy rate was 7.77, strike rate was 19.62 and average was 25.43. He is a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad for the last three seasons.
