Rituraj Gaikwad is constantly trying to return to Team India. Gaikwad, who turned 26 on Tuesday, has so far played only one ODI and 9 T20 matches for India. He has been out of the Indian team since October last year. He made his ODI debut against South Africa in October last year. After that match, Gaikwad was out of the team in such a way that he could not make a comeback till now.
However, after this, Gaikwad made the bowlers sweat in just one over. He created a furore by hitting 7 sixes in one over. On Tuesday, on his 26th birthday, a 30-second video of Gakaiwad’s innings is going viral.

7 sixes in one over
Gaikwad hit 7 sixes in an over in the quarter-finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy last year. He became the first batsman in the world to hit 7 sixes in a single over in List A cricket. While playing for Maharashtra, he thrashed the bowlers of Uttar Pradesh. He was unbeaten after scoring 220 runs in 159 balls. He completed 100 runs in 109 balls in that match, but after that his bat created a ruckus and he hit the next 120 runs in just 50 balls.
Gaikwad’s name world record
During this, Gaikwad added 43 runs by hitting 7 sixes in one over of spinner Shiva Singh. He started the over by hitting a six over long on. He hit a straight six on the next ball, leg side on the third ball and mid-off six on the fourth ball. The 5th ball of the over was a no-ball, on which he also hit a six over mid-off. On the extra ball, he took the ball across the boundary on long on. He took the world record by hitting the last ball of the over for a six on the leg side.
