New Delhi: The curiosity about the new season of the Indian Premier League is now at its peak. Like every season, this time too the first match of the tournament is awaited to start. Some new things come in every season but some things remain intact. One of these is the photo shoot of all the captains with the IPL trophy before the tournament. This time also this photo shoot took place but instead of all 10 teams only captains of 9 teams were present. Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma was absent from this shoot, which has surprised everyone.
The new season is about to begin on Friday, March 31, with the clash of Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. This photo shoot took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday before this match. In this all the captains reached except Rohit. Even Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who took charge of Sunrisers Hyderabad for just one match, arrived as a representative of his team.
Rohit missing from captains shoot
Absence from this photo of IPL’s most successful captain and most title winning player Rohit Sharma surprised everyone on social media. Cricket fans kept asking the same question as to why Rohit Sharma did not turn up for the shoot. As always, the captains of all the teams are present in the opening ceremony before the start of the tournament on Friday, and in such a situation Rohit’s not coming for this photo shoot a day earlier was beyond comprehension.
Now why Rohit did not turn up for this shoot, neither there has been any explanation from IPL nor Mumbai Indians issued any statement explaining the reason for his absence.
