Patidar told that due to the busyness of cricket, Rajat could study only till 12th standard. He told, ‘I got Rajat admitted to a local college, but he could not give the exam due to Ranji Trophy tournaments and other important cricket tournaments being held in other cities during the examinations. Seeing his good performance in cricket, I also did not put much emphasis on his college studies.
Patidar said his son’s cricketing talent is a gift from God and he enjoys the game in his own way. He said, ‘We live a very simple life and always keep Rajat free from the pressure of performing well.
