Saurashtra team is the winner of Vijay Hazare Trophy and has achieved its first win of this Ranji season by defeating 41-time champion Mumbai.

The Saurashtra cricket team defeated 41-time Ranji champions Mumbai by 48 runs, showing a brilliant game. Saurashtra had set a target of 280 runs in front of Mumbai but the Mumbai team lost the match after being bundled out for 231 runs. Yuvraj Singh Dodiya and Partha Bhut had important contribution in this victory of Saurashtra. Both of them took four wickets each. Mumbai’s defeat was confirmed on the fourth day. To win Saurashtra, only two wickets were needed on the fourth day i.e. Friday.
In seven overs, Saurashtra handed over the defeat to Mumbai by taking the remaining two wickets. Mumbai lost its ninth wicket in the form of Mumbai’s Tushar Deshpande. Dharmendra Singh Jadeja showed Tushar the way to the pavilion. Dodiya wrapped up Mumbai’s innings by dismissing Shams Mulani.
Shaw and Surya fought
The names of Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav are among the batsmen who batted for Mumbai. Shaw once again showed his bat skills and scored a half-century. He scored an inning of 68 runs in 99 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes. After him Suryakumar Yadav showed some hands. However, he could not score a half-century and was dismissed after scoring 38 runs. Mulani played an inning of 34 runs in 70 balls with the help of two fours.
Dharmendra Singh Jadeja took two wickets for Saurashtra. Chetan Sakaria and Chirag Jani did not get a single wicket. This is Saurashtra’s first win of this season. Earlier he played a draw against Assam and Maharashtra.

In this innings, he hit five fours and two sixes. Suryakumar Yadav’s bat was fierce in the first innings for Mumbai. However, he missed the century. He faced 107 balls and hit 14 fours and a six. Sarfaraz Khan also played a half-century innings. He scored 75 runs off 121 balls. Sarfaraz hit seven fours and a six.
