The team kept its upper hand by scoring 329 for six on the first day on the basis of captain Abhimanyu Easwaran’s 114 and Anustup Majumdar’s 95. This is Easwaran’s 15th century in first class. Bengal need just three points to make it to the knockouts. At the end of the day’s play, veteran Manoj Tiwary was playing after scoring 42 runs while Sion Shekhar Mandal is supporting him with 33 runs. Both have made an unbroken partnership of 61 runs. Jagjit was the most successful bowler for Chandigarh, taking three wickets for 53 runs.
In the second match of the same group, the bowlers of Baroda wrapped up Hyderabad on a small score. Baroda bundled out Hyderabad’s innings for just 197 runs on the basis of five wickets for 53 runs by Ateet Seth. Javed Ali (65) and Tanay Thiagarajan (51) scored half-centuries for Hyderabad but other batsmen could not play. At the same time, Baroda itself made a strong start with the bat and scored 92 runs for two wickets.
Group D: Great start from Saurashtra, Chirag’s century
The match between Saurashtra and Goa began in the Trophy Group D in Ahmedabad, in which Chirag Jani’s 140 runs and Sheldon Jackson’s unbeaten 96 helped Saurashtra scored 343 for seven at the end of the first day’s play. Chirag hit 22 fours and two sixes in 190 balls. Apart from him, veteran batsman Jackson has hit six fours and five sixes in his 119-ball innings. At the same time, Cheteshwar Pujara, the most experienced batsman of the current champion Saurashtra and running out of the Indian Test team, could only score 28 runs. Suyash Prabhudesai and Lakshya Garg took 2-2 wickets for Goa.

Group C: Padikkal’s century for Karnataka
Karnataka made a tremendous start against Puducherry in a Group-C match in Chennai, with the team’s young opener Devdutt Padikkal’s maiden century playing the biggest role in first-class cricket. The left-handed batsman completed his century in 277 balls with the help of 20 fours and two sixes. He returned unbeaten after scoring 161 runs. On the basis of this innings, Karnataka scored 293 runs for three wickets on the first day. Padikkal shared a 223-run partnership with KV Siddhartha (85).
In another match of the same group, the entire team of Jammu and Kashmir got out for just 258 runs in front of the Railways. Kamran Iqbal scored the highest 83 runs for JK. Captain and leg-spinner Karn Sharma took six wickets for 76 runs for the Railways.
Group A: MP strong with Yash’s century
On the other hand, Group A matches are being played in Rajkot, in which the batsmen dominated the first day of the match between Madhya Pradesh and Kerala. Madhya Pradesh scored 218 for two with the help of MP’s opener Yash Dubey’s unbeaten 105. Dubey hit 15 fours in his unbeaten innings of 264 balls. He added 130 runs in an unbroken third wicket partnership with Rajat Patidar (75 not out). Jalaj Saxena and Joseph took one wicket each for Kerala.
Group H: Chhattisgarh exhausted Delhi

Chhattisgarh, who were already almost out of the tournament after losing points against Tamil Nadu and Jharkhand in the first and second matches, was doomed by Chhattisgarh. Group-E: Surrender of Rajasthan in front of Services
In these different Group E, Rajasthan surrendered in front of the services bowlers. On the first day of this match being held in Thiruvananthapuram, Rajasthan’s first innings was reduced to just 92 runs. Only captain Ashok Menaria could score 31 runs for the team.
