New Delhi: On one hand, the IPL 2023 season is starting in India, on the other hand, the conflict between the India-Pakistan cricket board regarding the World Cup and Asia Cup is going on. The talk of the Indian team not going to Pakistan for the Asia Cup has already come to the fore. In response to this, the Pakistan Cricket Board is also threatening to send its team to India for the World Cup. PCB’s boss has claimed that his board has a lot of money and leaving the World Cup will not harm them.
The boards of both the countries are face to face regarding the Asia Cup and the World Cup. BCCI has already made it clear that it will not send the team to Pakistan and has talked about organizing the tournament at a neutral venue. Pakistan Board President Najam Sethi has said that if the Indian team does not come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, then the Pakistan government will not send its team for the World Cup.

Any ICC tournament is also a source of income for every team. The teams participating in the tournament get prize money from the ICC. Along with this, the cricket board also gets a major share of the broadcasting rights. In such a situation, questions are being raised whether Pakistan will really be able to take a step like not playing in the World Cup, which can cause huge losses to it.
PCB has a lot of money!
PCB chief has made a big claim that he will not suffer much loss by not playing the World Cup because Pakistan Super League has strengthened PCB financially. Talking to the Pakistani media in Islamabad on Friday, Najam Sethi said that the success of PSL has filled the coffers of the board and they are ready to take the risk of not playing the World Cup.
Then there was talk of neutral venue
Najam Sethi once again repeated the same thing, which has remained the center of discussion for the last one week. He insisted on the suggestion of a neutral venue to remove this deadlock between India and Pakistan. The boss of PCB said that for the Asia Cup, the Indian team can play its matches in some other venue instead of Pakistan. If this happens, the Pakistani team can play its World Cup matches at some other venue. However, ICC and BCCI have already rejected such suggestions regarding the World Cup.
