The Bangladesh cricket team has made a strong start in front of the target of 513 runs set by India in the first Test match being played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. The opening pair of the host team started their fight by sharing a century partnership. Najmul Hussain Shanto and Zakir Hasan had become a problem for India. However, this partnership was broken by Umesh Yadav. But the chance to break this partnership would have slipped from the hands of India, if Rishabh Pant was not there.
Umesh broke this partnership by dismissing Shanto. Shanto shared a 124-run partnership for the first wicket with Hasan. Shanto scored a half-century. He faced 156 balls and scored 67 runs with the help of seven fours.
Virat left Pant caught
Umesh brought the 47th over of the innings. He threw the first ball to Shanto. This left-handed batsman tried to play the ball going slightly outside the off-stump and the ball took the edge of his bat. The ball went to Virat Kohli standing in the first slip. The ball was on the left side of Virat but he could not catch the ball and the ball was about to slip from his hand and Pant caught the ball by diving to the right. With this Shanto’s wicket also fell.
If this catch of Shanto was missed, then India could have been in trouble because he was scoring runs in the best form. Pant showed understanding at the right time and took a diving catch. With this, Bangladesh got its first blow. After this catch, KL Rahul, who was captaining the team in this match, also heaved a sigh of relief and praised Pant.

Argument with Siraj
Meanwhile, however, Shanto was troubled a lot by an Indian bowler. With his balls and also with his behavior. India’s young fast bowler Mohammad Siraj was constantly troubling Shanto. Sometimes he was showing them eyes and sometimes he was saying something. Shanto, however, did not pay much attention to Siraj’s sledging and laughed off his words.
