An investigation committee of Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed that during PSL 6, the bio bubble has been broken many times and it has also been tampered with a lot.
Pakistan Super League 2021 had to be stopped in March.
Pakistan Super League 2021 (Pakistan Super League) had to be stopped midway due to frequent corona virus cases. Many players were found positive during this tournament. It was then said that the players did not follow the bio bubble properly. Now an inquiry committee of Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed that during PSL 6, the bio bubble has been broken many times and it has been tampered with a lot. The PCB had formed a committee to investigate two experts of diseases related to infection. The committee included Dr. Syed Faisal Mahmood and Dr. Salma Muhammad Abbas, reported this to PCB Chief Ehsan Mani on 31 March. The PCB chief will discuss with the rest of the colleagues after reading the investigation report. Then a decision will be taken.
According to the news agency PTI, sources associated with the committee’s report said that there is no name in it, but it has been reported that the bio bubble was not followed in Karachi on several occasions. The committee has also sent some recommendations to make PCB a bio-secure bubble. These recommendations can be implemented if PSL 6 is again in June. Earlier in early March, PSL was stopped after 10 matches. At that time, corona cases suddenly started coming up. Due to this, some local players and officials including Fawad Ahmed, Tom Banton, Lewis Gregory were found to be Corona positive. There are 24 matches left in PSL now. Now it is planned to have this match in June.
Action will be taken against those who do not follow the bio bubble
The source said that in the report, the committee said that some people had also complained to the officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board about the violation of the bio bubble. But even after this, no action was taken. The result was that the tournament had to be stopped midway. In such a situation, the PCB has now said that action will be taken on those employees who have failed to implement the bio bubble properly. In this case, Dr. Sohail Salim, the head of the Medical and Sciences Department of Pakistan Cricket Board, has already resigned. On March 4, he resigned the PCB chief only after stopping the PSL.
