Babar Azam and Imam’s partnership gave the team victory
Half-centuries from captain Babar Azam (77) and opener Imam-ul-Haq (72) scored 275 for eight as West Indies were bowled out for 155 in 32.2 overs. Babar and Imam shared 130 runs for the second wicket for Kistan. Apart from these two, no other batsman failed to score big. Imam hit six fours in his 72-ball innings, while Azam, who was running in excellent rhythm, hit five fours and a six in his 93-ball innings. This is the second consecutive fifty by both the batsmen.
West Indies could not achieve the target
Chasing the target, West Indies suffered a setback in the very first over. SH Hope (four runs) was shown by Shaheen Shah Afridi to the pavilion. After this, Meyers and Brooks made a comeback from the team but the West Indies batsmen could not stand in front of Nawaz and then Shadab Khan’s spin in the helpful pitch of the spinners.
