The auction of IPL 2023 was very interesting. While crores were showered on another England players, on the other hand some such names were also seen about which the fans did not know much. One such bowler is Avinash Singh of Jammu and Kashmir. Royal Challengers Bangalore included this player in their team by spending 60 lakh rupees. This decision was quite surprising because Avinash has not made his debut in domestic cricket till now.
Avinash’s base price was Rs 20 lakh. First of all RCB bid for him. After this KKR also came in the race. A separate race started between the two from here. Eventually, RCB added Avinash with them by placing a bid of Rs 60 lakhs.
Avinash used to play with tennis ball
According to media reports, Avinash has spent most of his career playing tennis ball. Shortly before, he joined the Cricket Academy of Jammu and started playing with the cricket ball. They don’t have much experience with it. The biggest reason behind RCB buying him is Avinash’s speed. If reports are to be believed then like Indian bowler Umran Malik coming from Jammu itself, Avinash also has speed. This is his biggest strength.
Avinash impresses with speed
In the beginning of this year, RCB camp was organized in Jammu. Avinash impressed everyone here. Avinash came to Pune from Jammu and worked more on his bowling. He also gave trials at many places during this period. He was discussed a lot everywhere. Avinash has not been able to make a place in the team of Jammu and Kashmir till now. In such a situation, IPL is a big opportunity for him.
RCB expressed confidence in new names
RCB had entered the auction this time with very little money. In such a situation, he did not bid on any big player, but definitely added many new names with him, which are going to be very important for him in the coming years. Apart from Avinash, RCB has added new players like Rajan Kumar, Sonu Yadav, Manoj Bhandge and Himanshu Sharma.
