Another player has retired from Indian cricket. We are talking about 35-year-old batsman Robin Bisht, who has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Robin Bisht started his cricket career with age group cricket in Delhi. After that he traveled to Rajasthan in the year 2005-06 in search of better opportunities.
Robin Bisht has been identified as a middle order batsman. He made his first class debut against Delhi in the year 2007-08. In this match, his team i.e. Rajasthan was defeated. But the right-handed batsman Bisht won everyone’s heart with his innings of 69 runs. In the next season of first class cricket, he completed his first century and was the highest batsman for Rajasthan with 422 runs. After this he was also selected for Central Zone in Duleep Trophy.
No chance in Team India, no IPL contract now
After playing cricket first for Delhi, then for Rajasthan, Bisht also turned to Sikkim and Uttarakhand. Regarding his retirement, Bisht told Sports Star, “I am going to be about 36 years old now. I didn’t even get an IPL contract. Nor could I ever play India. That’s why I thought it is better to retire.
