Who has scored the fastest century in cricket history? As soon as this question arises, the first thought goes towards Chris Gayle or AB de Villiers as an answer. But, both these answers are wrong. Gayle or AB may be the fastest batsman to score a century in any one format of the Gentleman’s Game. But, when it comes to the fastest century in cricket history, Trinidad and Tobago’s cricketer Iraq Thomas Marr takes the bet. Thomas did this feat in the year 2016 at the age of 23. He broke the record set by Sir Don Bradman in 22 balls. Then Bradman’s record had completed 85 years.

Don Bradman scored a century in just 22 balls in a village game in the year 1931.  Bradman scored 99 runs in just 3 overs in his century in 22 balls.  Bradman scored 33 runs in the first over, 40 runs in the second over and 27 runs in the third over.  Bradman's innings included 10 sixes and 9 fours.

In the year 2016, i.e. after 85 years, Bradman's record of fastest century in 22 balls was broken when 23-year-old Iraq Thomas scored a century in just 21 balls in the T20 match organized by Tobago Cricket Association.  In this innings, Thomas hit 15 sixes, in which 3 times the ball went across the stadium.  Apart from this, 5 fours were also included in the innings.
