The veteran players of the country have opened a front against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and have accused him of sexual exploitation.

Veteran wrestling players of the country, including Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat, are protesting at Jantar Mantar against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. These players have alleged that Bhushan has sexually abused many women players. All of them have sent their complaint to the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) in this regard and have demanded dissolution of WFI and resignation of Bhushan. Meanwhile, wrestler Narsingh Yadav, who won India the Commonwealth Games gold medal, has now come out in support of Bhushan.
Narsingh has said that the allegations leveled against Bhushan are baseless. He has also said that things have changed since Bhushan became the president of WFI. He also said that after his arrival, not only from Haryana but players from other states are also getting opportunities.

In its report, India Today quoted Narsingh as saying, “The allegations made are baseless. Everyone has the right to play at the national level. Players of every state have the right to go to the Olympics. Things have changed after the arrival of Bhushan ji. Apart from Haryana, players from other states are also getting a chance. These players have been protesting against Bhushan for the last two days. Last night these players had talked to the Sports Minister but no result could be found. In the written complaint given by these players to the IOA, it has been told that Bhushan sexually assaulted the players and did not pay the contract amount of the players in full. It is also written that after the Tokyo Olympics, Vinesh was mentally disturbed so much that she was thinking of committing suicide.
