Former India captain and President of Hyderabad Cricket Association, Mohammad Azharuddin has made an open proposal in front of the BCCI.
Azharuddin’s offer to BCCI
Corona is seen hovering on IPL 2021. The tournament is scheduled to begin on April 9, but before that the rising cases of Corona have raised the concern of the BCCI. The concern of the Cricket Board of India is about Mumbai, where the second match of IPL 2021 is to be played and then 9 more matches are to be played after that. All these matches will be played between 10 to 25 April. But the speed at which Corona is crossing every barrier in Mumbai, it is pertinent to draw the lines of Sikan on the BCCI’s forehead.
President Sourav Ganguly has said that the tournament should start as per the schedule. But, the Indian board is double minded about the match to be held in Mumbai. In such a situation, Mohammad Azaruddin, former captain of India and president of Hyderabad Cricket Association, has put an open proposal in front of the BCCI.
Mohammad Azharuddin’s offer to BCCI
The former Indian captain’s offer to the Indian board is to open Hyderabad to host the IPL. Azharuddin has tweeted this offer to BCCI. He wrote, “We must all stand together in this difficult time. Hyderabad Cricket Association is proposing to organize IPL 2021 in front of BCCI. Hyderabad is a safe venue for organizing the league. “
In these difficult times there is all the more reasons for us to stand by each other. Hyderabad Cricket Association would like to offer its facilities to @BCCI to ensure that IPL2021 is conducted in safe and secure venues.

The BCCI has kept Hyderabad and Indore as backup vane of IPL 2021, but at present no green signal has been given to neither the State Board nor the franchisees.
4 teams set up camp in Mumbai
4 teams playing in IPL 2021 Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals have set up their training camp in Mumbai. Speaking about the change in the venue, the board sources told Times Now, “Our keen eye is on Venue and Corona. But, we have not reached any conclusion yet. Hyderabad and Indore are backup options. But, let’s see what happens next. Safety of players is paramount for us. ”
