But, he got more than 8 times of his base price. Mayank has been bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 8.25 crore. Before the mega auction in IPL 2022, Punjab Kings retained Mayank Agarwal for Rs 12 crore and made him the captain of the team. Earlier, in 8 matches of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy played in 20 over format, he scored 165 runs at a strike rate of 154.20. 400 plus runs scored in 2 consecutive seasons
Mayank’s game on the pitch of IPL looked spoiled in the 15th season, but before that he scored more than 400 runs in two consecutive seasons. In IPL 2021, Mayank Agarwal scored 441 runs in 12 matches, where his best score was 99 not out.
