Gulf Giants team won the title by defeating Desert Vipers in the final of the first-ever ILT20 League

of UAE International League T20 The first title of (IL T20) was named after Gulf Giants. This team of Adani Sports Line became the champion by defeating Desert Vipers by seven wickets in the final match. Batting first, Desert Vipers scored 146 runs in 20 overs. Gulf Giants easily achieved this target with 8 balls to spare. The big credit for Gulf’s victory goes to Australian batsman Chris Lynn, who played a stormy innings in the final match.
This league of Dubai was organized for the first time in which six teams participated. Teams of Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders were also included in this tournament which started from January 12. The champion team was decided on Sunday after many exciting matches that took place for a month.
Gulf won the match with eight balls to spare
The target of 147 was not very big in front of the excellent batting line-up of the Gulf Giants but they also fumbled in the beginning. The team had lost the wickets of James Vince (14) and Colin de Grandhomme (1) at a score of 26 runs. However, none of the Vipers bowlers could walk in front of the stormy batting of the team’s opener Chris Lynn. Lynn scored 72 runs in 50 balls which included nine fours and a six.
Hasaranga scored a half-century
Earlier, the team of Vipers came out to bat first and the same start was very bad. The team had lost three wickets on the total score of 25 runs. Sri Lankan bowler Wanindu Hasaranga played an important role in taking the team’s score to 146. This player scored 55 runs in 27 balls. Hasaranga hit six fours and two sixes in his stormy innings. Apart from him, Sam Billings also played an important inning of 31 runs. There was an important partnership of 72 runs for the fifth wicket between the two. However, in the gap of three, both the batsmen returned and then no other batsman could play. Carlos Brathwaite took three wickets and Kais Ahmed took two wickets from Gulf Giants. Chris Jordan and Colin de Grandhomme took 1-1 wickets.
