Milkha Singh, popularly known as Flying Sikh, died on Friday at the age of 91. A few days before that, his wife Nirmal Kaur also passed away. Both these husband and wife have left behind their son Jeev Milkha Singh and three daughters. Jeev is an Indian golfer of international level, it is natural for him to get emotional after the death of his parents. He has written an emotional message for his parents on Instagram and shared a photo of both of them.
Jeev hopes that his parents will protect him from above as well. He wrote, “The relationship between parents and children never changes. It doesn’t matter how old you have become, or where in the world you live, or what you have achieved in your life. This relationship remains very simple. It is unconditional love.”

Jeev wrote, “As a parent you have been the backbone of the family. Together you have nurtured and supported us all, with a lot of love and care. Also inspired the whole country to dream big and made believe that if you work hard and dedicate yourself then anything is possible.

Jeev wrote that his parents have influenced many lives and their contribution will be remembered for a long time. He said, “You influenced many lives over the years and the impact you have left on this country will be remembered for a long time. You have told me how to be a better father, brother, husband and made me a better person.”
He ended his letter by writing, “I love you with all my heart, mother and father. It’s not going to be easy.”

Milkha Singh was admitted to PGI on 3 June. Earlier, he was undergoing treatment at home but was taken to the hospital due to low oxygen level. Although he had come Corona negative on Wednesday. After this he was shifted from COVID ICU to normal ICU. But his condition had become critical due to complications caused by this disease. Under this, on Friday, his oxygen level had decreased and fever came. Hospital sources had told that his condition had become critical.. Earlier his wife Nirmal Kaur died on June 13 at a private hospital in Mohali while battling COVID-19 infection. Kaur herself had been an athlete. She had been the captain of the Indian women’s volleyball team. Nirmal Kaur was married to Milkha Singh in the year 1962.
