The end of the five-Test series between India and England (India vs England) was quite unfortunate. India was ahead 2-1 in this series. After this the last and deciding match of the series was to be played in Manchester, which decided the winner of the series. However, the match got canceled on the day it was supposed to start. Veteran fast bowler James Anderson is ‘disappointed’ by this.

The team players were mentally unprepared to take the field after the Indian team’s assistant physio got infected with the corona virus. After this the corona test of all the players was done and the report of all the players came negative. Despite this the match was not played.

James Anderson shared the post on social media

After getting annoyed with this, James Anderson wrote a heartfelt talk by sharing a picture of an empty stadium on Instagram. His home ground Old Trafford’s match was canceled due to which he is disappointed. He called this shameful. Anderson said that the series should have ended better. The 39-year-old bowler is also worried about whether he will get to play another Test match at his home ground (Old Trafford).

Anderson wrote on his Instagram page, ‘It is shameful for an international series to end like this. I am disappointed for everyone in Lancashire Cricket apart from the fans paying for tickets/trains/hotels to see the true end of this series.’ He said, ‘I hope it will be played again at some point. I hope I get to play another international match at my home ground, which I am very fond of.

Indian players left for UAE

Indian cricketers, led by captain Virat Kohli, refused to play as they feared that they would have to be in quarantine in England for 10 days if they tested positive for COVID-19. A day after the cancellation of the Test match, Indian cricketers left for Dubai for the Indian Premier League. Anderson has taken 632 wickets in 166 Tests. He has taken 15 wickets in four matches of this series.
