Ravindra Jadeja, who is returning to cricket after being out of the field for almost five months, has announced his 100 percent fitness through this performance.

Playing for Saurashtra, Ravindra Jadeja wreaked havoc in the second innings against Tamil Nadu on Thursday, 26 January, taking 7 wickets. On the basis of Jadeja’s performance, Saurashtra bundled out Tamil Nadu for just 133 runs. (PTI)
Jadeja also took a wicket in the first innings. More than the wicket, the most important thing for Jadeja was to prove his fitness and he did that. The left-arm spinner bowled 24 overs in the first innings and 17 in the second innings without any trouble. (PTI)
However, in batting, Jadeja could not make any significant impact in the first innings and was dismissed after scoring just 13 runs. Now in order to win his team in the second innings, he will be expected to perform the same in batting. (PTI)
Jadeja suffered a knee injury during the Asia Cup in September 2022, after which he underwent surgery and was out of the ground. (PTI)
He has now got a place in the Indian squad for the first two matches of the Test series against Australia starting on 9 February. However, the selectors had made it clear that he would have to prove his fitness first and Jadeja’s performance on this front is good news. (PTI)
