New Delhi: Only 24 hours are left and then the biggest and longest show of T20 cricket will begin. The IPL 2023 season will begin with the clash of Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings in Ahmedabad. Even before the start of the season, however, some teams have to land without their key players, in which some are out due to injury, while some have not been able to reach due to other reasons. This is the second reason, which has forced Sunrisers Hyderabad to make a small change in the captaincy.
The 2016 champions SRH will have their first match in the new season on Sunday, April 2. In this he will face Rajasthan Royals. In this match, Hyderabad will have to enter without their new captain. SRH had appointed South African young star Aiden Markram as their new captain a few days ago but he will not be able to play in the team’s first match.
Bhubaneswar got the captaincy
Due to the ODI series between South Africa and Netherlands, Markram will not be able to play in the first match of SRH. In such a situation, the team management of SRH has decided to hand over the command to experienced Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar in this match. In the photoshoot of all the 10 captains of IPL, only Bhuvneshwar was seen as the captain of the team.
This is not the first time that Bhuvneshwar will captain the team. Even before this, he took command of Hyderabad in some matches of the 2018 season. Even after this, he captained in some matches. They have won 2 out of 7 matches and lost 5.

Markram won the title
Only two matches of the ODI series are to be played between South Africa and Netherlands, which will be held on 31 March and 2 April. In such a situation, Markram will be able to join SRH on 3 April. It was under the captaincy of Markram that the Sunrisers Eastern Cape team won the SA20 title. He is also consistently batting brilliantly. In such a situation, Sunrisers will be eagerly waiting for their new captain.
