In IPL 2021, the match between Rajasthan Royals vs Chennai Super Kings, played on October 2, saw heavy rain. Runs rained from both the teams. Batting first, Chennai put the runs on the scoreboard. So Rajasthan scored runs in a bang on CSK’s legs to chase down that score. Overall, this match was just for the batsmen, in which the bowlers were seen as just lambs. In the midst of this chaos of runs, Shivam Dube emerged as the hero of the big victory of Rajasthan Royals.
Batting first, Chennai Super Kings scored 189 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs on the basis of Rituraj Gaikwad’s century. In response, Rajasthan Royals first broke the target given by CSK 15 balls earlier on the basis of the stormy innings of Yashasvi Jaiswal and then Shivam Dubey. Shivam Dubey scored an unbeaten 64 off 42 balls in the match, which included 4 fours and 4 sixes.
Shivam Dubey gives batting credit to Sangakkara
Shivam Dubey, after his destructive innings against Dhoni’s team, has given the credit to not any domestic but foreign player. He has given full credit of his scintillating innings against Chennai to Rajasthan coach and former Sri Lankan batsman Kumar Sangakkara. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson also looked giddy. He said, “We were talking about Shivam Dubey in the last 2-3 matches. Mahipal Lomord had shown a good game in the initial matches. But today was Shivam Dubey’s day. He worked hard in the nets. Glad to see him play an explosive innings today.”
