Everyone was waiting that Virat Kohli would end the drought of centuries at his favorite Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, but Kohli could not even score 50 runs in both the innings.

“Neither Khuda hi mila nor visal-e-sanam nor here ke hua nor udhar ke hua”…this famous line is present in the Indian cricket team. (Indian Cricket Team) Biggest star of Virat Kohli (Virat Kohli) But fits right. Virat Kohli has seen possibly the worst phase of his career in the last few years, where he lost the captaincy of every format and every team. Even big scores are not coming out with the bat on him. Waiting for the 71st century for two and a half years, which is not over yet and now something has happened, which was least expected. After 5 years, Sri Lanka has again given a blow to Virat Kohli’s figures. Virat’s batting average is just 7 runs short (Virat Kohli Test Average) Was spoilt.
Even playing at his ‘second home ground’ in Bangalore did not help Virat Kohli. Within two days of the Day-Night Test against Sri Lanka (India vs Sri Lanka), Virat got the opportunity to bat twice and both times the pitch of his favorite ground ‘played’ with him. On the ground where Kohli’s century drought was expected to end, Kohli could not even score a century away.
Average below 50 after 5 years
A half-century was also a distant thing, but he could not score a total of 50 runs in both the innings and its big blow fell on the excellent figures of Kohli’s Test career. 43 runs were the most important for Kohli in the Bangalore Test, but he could only manage 36 runs (23 and 13) in both the innings and with this his Test batting average came down to 50. Kohli, who once achieved an average of more than 55, has come down to 50 for the first time in 5 years.
It is also a coincidence that earlier in August 2017 against Sri Lanka, Kohli’s average had dropped from below 50 to 49.55. Now his average has become 49.95.
Both the times were found in Bangalore
The pitch at M Chinnaswamy Stadium also did not support Kohli. The pitch of Kohli’s favorite ground, where a big innings was expected, gave Kohli a ruckus in both the innings. Like in the first innings, once again Kohli lost his wicket due to very low bounce. The way Dhananjaya de Silva got him out LBW in the first innings, in the same way in the second innings, he was defeated by a bounce while trying to play a short ball on the back foot by left-arm spinner Pravin Jayavikrama and was out LBW. Now Kohli will have to wait till July to raise his average above 50, when the Indian team will tour England for a Test match.
