The Indian team has to play a five-match T20 series against South Africa and for this it has started its preparations. Team India sweats it out at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
The five-match T20 series between India and South Africa (IND vs SA) is starting from June 9. For this series, the senior selection committee of BCCI has given a chance to many young players. Many players are coming to the team for the first time and in the first practice session of the team, the support staff was seen emphasizing these players. During India’s opening practice session ahead of the series, Umran Malik bowled late but during this time his fellow bowler Arshdeep Singh impressed more with his yorker skills. However, both these young players may have to wait for a place in the team due to the presence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan. The Indian team sweated it out in the evening session under the supervision of coach Rahul Dravid and bowling coach Paras Mahambre. .
During this session, wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant hit hard shots on Umran’s fast balls. Young Arshdeep bowled the shots first but later practiced his yorkers more accurately under the supervision of bowling coach Mahambre. Mahambre put gloves on the crease in front of the middle wicket and a bottle in front of the wide line and Arshdeep had to target both of them on separate balls. Arshdeep was asking the coach after bowling, okay? On which Mahambre advised him to focus on the length instead of the direction of the ball.

Bhuvneshwar did less practice
Generally fast bowlers do not practice for long in summer conditions but practiced for longer than Arshdeep and Umran. The Indian pace bowling will be led by Bhuvneshwar, who barely bowled 15 minutes in the series. During this, Harshal Patel, Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal took rest during the team session. Usually bowlers who bowl more before the match do not get a chance in the team.
Karthik did the scoop practice
Dinesh Karthik, 37, who returned to the team, practiced lap scoop and reverse scoop shots with throwdown experts. In the presence of the team’s vice-captain Pant, however, he will find it difficult to get a chance in the playing XI. DDCA groundsmen said that there would be dew in the ground after 8 pm but the Indian team did not practice with the wet ball.
