Two sessions, two nets and lots of practice
For this series, except for Cheteshwar Pujara, Jaydev Unadkat and Umesh Yadav, most of the players have come after playing limited overs matches. In such a situation, the team management led by coach Rahul Dravid wants that every player should get enough practice before the Test match at VCA Stadium. So from the very first day, the practice was done in two sessions, in which the first batch practiced for two and a half hours in the morning, while the second batch practiced after noon.
