Delhi: The Indore Test has taken an interesting turn. The game of ups and downs continues here. Sometimes India has the upper hand and sometimes Australia dominates. But meanwhile Ricky Ponting is upset. A big fear is haunting them.Australia Former captain Ricky Ponting fears that David Warner, who is struggling with poor form, is in danger of being ruled out of the Ashes series. He fears that his Test career may come to a sad end after failing with the bat for a long time.
Ponting feels Warner will struggle to find a place in the Ashes squad on the tour of England and his Test career may not end on his own terms.

Warner’s performance in India was poor
Warner also had a disappointing tour of India, scoring 1, 10 and 15 in three innings before returning home with an elbow fracture. The left-handed batsman scored runs at an average of just 9.5 on the last tour of England in 2019.
Ponting in awe of Warner
Ponting told RSN Cricket that now it will depend on David Warner. As a batsman, you can only score runs and if you don’t score runs then you are in a difficult situation. Ponting said, it has happened to all of us, it has happened to me. When you reach a certain age and your form seems to be dropping a bit, the critics take over and then it doesn’t take long.
Warner should have quit Test cricket – Ponting
Ponting feels Warner should have quit Test cricket after scoring a double hundred in the Boxing Day Test against South Africa in Melbourne last summer, which was also his 100th match, or else he should have been released after the next match at his home ground in Sydney. Should have done this.

The former Australia captain said, I think he probably should have done it after the Sydney Test to finish it the way he wanted. He scored 200 in Melbourne, played his 100th Test, played his 101st Test in Sydney which was his home ground and probably would have finished it there.
