Ahmedabad: After struggling for one run each in three consecutive Tests, the third day in a row in the Ahmedabad Test was brilliant for the batsmen. Unlike the first two days, India took advantage this time. After Australia’s big score of 480 runs in the first innings, Team India scored 289 runs in their first innings, while only 3 wickets have fallen so far. Shubman Gill Continuing his tremendous form, scored a brilliant century, while Virat Kohli scored a half-century for the first time in more than a year.
Compared to the first two days, the spinners started getting some help on the third day and many balls from Nathan Lyon baffled the Indian batsmen. Still the pitch remained good for batting. However, Australia’s tight bowling and tight fielding did not give India a chance to play freely and Australia is still 191 runs behind.
