The Indian team did not make a big score while batting first in the first ODI played in Mirpur. This team, captained by Rohit Sharma, was bundled out for just 186 runs. But even after this, the bowlers of Team India fought and brought India closer to victory. The Indian team was one step away from victory but still remained bereft of victory. Chasing 187 runs, the Bangladesh team lost its nine wickets for 136 runs. India needed only one wicket to win, but from here the story turned. Miraj handled the innings with Mustafizur Rahman and made the team win by sharing a half-century partnership.
