England have named a 13-strong Lions squad for a tour match towards South Africa, forward of the primary Test towards the vacationers on August 17.
It will probably be a possibility for the likes of Harry Brook and Will Jacks to check themselves towards a powerful Proteas facet as they bid for a primary Test cap.
Paul Collingwood will take cost of the match, which is able to see gamers depart their Hundred and Royal London one-day squads with a purpose to play the fixture beginning on 9 August.
“We are delighted that the Lions will have a competitive fixture against the South African tourists,” the England and Wales Cricket Board efficiency director Mo Bobat mentioned.
“The squad strongly represents some of the country’s current, next best and future England players. For some players, this game will be important preparation going into the Test series.

Craig Overton, Brook and Dan Lawrence will miss two Hundred matches, with most lacking one, and Ben Duckett not lacking any.
